Grrrr.

Why is it that a rehab facility won't accept a patient past 8pm? Some do, some don't. Why are some facilities unconcerned and simply tell us to keep a patient even though they are on their way out the door just because they might not make it by 8pm on-the-dot? And it is always said in such an incredibly snobby way, "With the traffic right now they won't get here till 8:05pm, and that is too late. Nothing after 8pm. Period."

Imagine how that patient must feel. Waiting and waiting for a rehab bed, then the day comes and the ambulances are unavailable till late even though it was scheduled, then having to wait again because the rehab refused to accept them, simply because it MIGHT be 8:05pm when they arrived.

I just don't get it.
